Helped start a non-profit organization called Cancer Awareness Club. We raise money to
help children in need of cancer treatments that cannot afford to pay for the treatments. I
started the organization in 2004, as a freshman. Our main sponsors are whole foods,
lucky brand jeans and net zero. We raise money with community run/walks battle of the
bands and fashion shows.
My favorite class is History. I find that learning about the past helps me understand what
is going on in the present. My best subject is English. I enjoy the creative writing aspect
of English, which I have a talent for. I really enjoy playing tennis with my family, and the
High School team. I am also into astronomy and fascinated with the universe and
immense depth that many people find too deep to learn and delve into.
My family is pretty large. I have 3 athletic younger brothers 1 princess soccer stud sister
and an incredible tennis-guru mother. My father passed away in 2004 after battling lung
cancer. He was a lawyer and graduated from USC law school. My younger siblings also
play tennis, but are very intense soccer players. My mother is a professional tennis
instructor, teaching children and adults and hosts tennis camps. My grandmother on my
mother’s side is from Brazil. She is not only a very good soccer player, but also a
fantastic cook and even more amazing tennis coach at Beverly Hills High school. My
girlfriend, Ally, is very much a part of my family as well as club soccer player.
I hope to attend a university that suits my personality academically and athletically. I
definitely want to compete in the NCAA championships by playing on a top Div1 soccer
team, as well as studying interesting topics as I strive to decide on my major. I will also
continue my support for my family at home as my siblings follow me closely into their
last years of High School.
I have not decided yet on my future away from soccer. Being a professional player is my
driving force on life and I believe my hard work and ability to be a leader on the soccer
field will open doors for me to achieve me soccer goals. I hope my talents take me above
and beyond my dreams. I work hard everyday to one be prepared for the opportunity to
play soccer professionally. If I had the chance to play anywhere in Europe I would, and
maybe one day I might get that chance …….. that’s what I really want: one chance. |
