DMS11 & SELECT SOCCER - AMERICA
Select Sport America, the American division of Select Soccer Products from Denmark, Europe, has an amazing history when it comes to the creation of the modern day soccerball. Watch the video below for a quick introduction to the story of Select, and the actual development, through Select and their founder, Eigil Nielsen, of the modern day ball. Select created the FIRST internal bladder ball without the lace, and also created the very first 32 panel ball, that every top level ball company copied. This ball changed the way the game was played with more true ball flight and less weight of the heavy leather balls used back then. A true revolution.
DMS11 has signed a deal for 3 years to have Select Soccer Balls as our ball sponser. We have had the soccer balls with our teams since mid september, and the feedback has been beyond our expectations. The ball has an amazing feel to it. Players are truly noticing a difference in the way it reacts to their strike, or touch. Unlike the new "inventions" to score more goals with a ball that flies all over the place, the Select ball goes exactly where you kick it, time and time again. It gives the skill back to the player, rather than confuse the player with different flight patterns each kick, as experienced and described by the recent world cup players.
This TOP LEVEL soccer ball company has a reputation for excellence throughout its production. Each ball is handsewn, bounce tested, flight tested and guaranteed. However, unlike most well known ball manufacturers, I was most impressed with their standards of quality thoughtout the process. Each person working for Select in Pakistan has health coverage, good working conditions, and most importantly to us at DMS11, each worker has their families children educated at the expense to Select. there are NO child workers, and Select truly takes care of its people. We firmly believe that if the workers are looked after well, so will the soccer balls as we receive from those who truly value the work and respect given to them.
With all the money now spent of soccer development, from team fees, cleats, private training, and travel to going to games, it is so important to remember that a good workman needs good tools to work with. Do not underestimate the two most imporant pieces of soccer equipment, the soccer shoe and the ball. Comfort for running and feel of kicking for the feet, and the actual ball to make all the practice as beneficial as possible. It is amazing where money is spent of show, but held back on the important aspects. A bad ball will affect the level of play and training. This is where SELECT has coninued to create the best soccer balls in the world, true to integrity of workmanship and true to the skill of the game itself. We do not need to change the ball movement with the ball, we just need to increase the ability of the players themsleves. If the ball is not consistent then why train? We love the Select ball and know any professional or amateur player will LOVE the Select ball.
At DMS11 each one of our players has a Select Ball, the BRILLIANT SUPER for the U13 and older teams, and the ROYALE for the U12 and under teams. Classy, stand out, excellent feel and overall excellence, we hope to continue this partnership for many years to come. Go test a Select Soccer Ball - we are certain you too will love them.
We are also using the Select Goalkeeper Gloves. The Keepers have taken to them with excitement. They are pofessional quality and the best test is to have the Keepers use them. Great feedback.
Lastly, the ball bags are amazing. We have the Dugffle Bag for the Coaches whick holds 12 size 5 pumped soccer balls. We also have the travel bags hodling 10 bakks zipped up side by side. Again, excelletn quality. The best bag, which we love, is the game day ball bag - a square suitcase style bag with 4 individual compartments for 4 soccer balls. Also space for the pump, pressure gauge and other accessories. This is by far the classiest bag we have ever seen. Just brilliant for a professional look.
We strongly believe that to become a professional you should prepare by providing professional quality experiences. Select has given us even more of an edge for our players.
Milestones in the history of SELECT sport - and Soccer itself.
