American Soccer has come a long way in the last 10 years. Players now represent the US in the English Premier League, and have made a name for themselves and the talent in America. There is no question that the level of the American player is of a comparable athletic ability. However, how close are the best in the US compared to the best youth players representing the best England has to offer?

DMS11, the #1 U18 team in the USA, based in California, Prepared to finish their youth careers by challenging for the NATIONAL state TITLE.

They traveled to England to face the professional youth teams of the Premiership. Playing 3 games in 11 days, these young men were forced to compete against a level that truly challenged them to their core. How did their journey to a foreign country develop the power of the 11 players on the field, and build a chemistry through adversity to try to win the National state Championship back in the usa?

Many of the players on DMS11 had little or no experience of traveling to other countries, soccer or no soccer. The players of DMS11 stepped outside the comfort level of BIG DOG to find out if they can fight the Goliaths of the Soccer World.

Sport does not build character, it exposes it. See the players and find out what they were made of, what American soccer is made of, and ultimately, what pain they went through to try to achieve a dream. 11 DAYS.

11 Days: the Journey to Discovery

With the challenge of unknown competition, jet lag, cultural differences, new foods, climatic changes and a professionalism of soccer not seen before, the cameras followed the players from the US to England and back again. Watching their every move, interacting with foreign ways, you see the players having to adapt from a comfort zone into an unknown place. From the excitement of travel, to the reality they were there to prepare for a bigger goal. The honest and deep found standards were tested. Discipline for Success. Motivation to do what they know is right. Girls, Clubs. Meetings. Shopping. Travel. All the things that go with the territory of changing continents.

Being disciplined enough to get the work done, or face the wrath of the Coach who was there to build the final force of the DMS11 team. Professional Youth coaches put on training sessions at the various clubs. True passion of the fans when the DMS11 team goes to the Premier League games and the level of fire in each fans blood was thrown in the face of these Americans.

DMS11 had the opportunity to let each soccer loving person in the US get a chance to live their own soccer dreams through the lives of these young men. What was it really like to play abroad? What did it take to get these opportunities? How many players actually went on to success? What is foreign coaching like compared to the US? And what do the Professional Coaches REALLY feel about the US players they worked with?

Never before has a team openly portrayed the complete workings of a top youth team in the US and the possible weaknesses as well as strengths they possess. The inner squad fights, overcoming individual desires for the sake of the team, or letting down the group for personal gain. The viewers will see how important team work is, and can take it back to their own teams, work place and families. We exposed the power of the team, or the affect one weakness can be to the detriment of the 11 fighting for success.

All these boys had very differing reasons to go. Some needed experience, some needed exposure and some needed a chance. Watch as they peeled away the layers of their passion, moment by moment, to find out just how much difference 11 days can make.

ABOUT THE PRODUCERS

Dan Metcalfe - Creator and Founder of DMS11. Having played at Professional Clubs in England as a teen, Dan moved his talents to Musical Theater. Having played the Lead in many West End Productions, including Andrew Lloyd Weber shows, Dan moved to the US to star in movies and TV. His belief that "someone will live the dream, why not you?", Taking the knowledge of soccer and acting, Dan worked with Universal Studios to create and direct all the soccer in Kicking and Screaming with Will Ferrell and Robert Duvall. The project was a hit, becoming the top grossing Soccer Movie of all time in the USA. He did the same for She's The Man, starring Amanda Bynes. Since those projects Dan has 2nd Unit directed on feature movies and continued to be a creator and leader shows including the Gracie movie, Price of Dreams, Gatorade National Team training DVD, has created projects for Nike, Champion, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Reebok, Pizza Hut, Snickers and so on. He has also created the Nationally acclaimed Soccer training series DVD's, Super Soccer Skills.

Dan put together a team of specialists in California to bring Discipline, Motivation and Experiences to all those willing to step out of the comfort and into the future, their future. This documentary is his vision, showing that hard work and team work can create opportunities to live life to the fullest. The trials, tests and ultimate victories are not just on the soccer field, but in life itself. Now millions will see those who risk get the toughest test of their playing lives. The project will be inspirational and touch the lives and passion of every soccer player in the USA.

Lemore Syvan - Founder of Elevation Filmworks, a production company based in New York City. Lemore is an award winning independent producer. She collaborated with Dan Metcalfe on her latest production GRACIE, a girl soccer film, directed by Oscar Winner Davis Guggenheim and starring Carley Shcroeder, Dermut Mulroney, Elisabeth Shue and Andrew Shue. LEMORE BRINGS A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE AND BELIEF IN THE PROJECT. She has worked with many of the very best in the entertainment industry.

Mark Burnett - will be working closely with Dan to help make this project not only unique, but completely successful. Mark is an entity to TV who has proven to be the most powerful producer on TV in the USA. Mark has produced the top TV shows including Survivor, The Apprentice, The contender, Smarter than a fifth grader, my dads better than your dad, eco challenge, shark tank and many more.

Paul Taublieb - award winning Documentarian. Based in Malibu, Paul will bring huge experience after receiving 12 National Awards for his documentary, THE LOST WAVE. Paul works extensively with ESPN and the X-Games, producing some of the most thrilling and powerful sports shows on TV today.
